It has become common for teenagers to text on their phones while driving which is very dangerous and may cause many road accidents. According to a survey around 3500 teens aged between 15-19 years were killed in accidents due to distractions while driving. It is not only unsafe for the teens who are driving but also unsafe for other drivers. Most of the accidents registered were due to texting while driving.
Many cities and states have banned the usage of mobile phone or texting while driving. Most of the teens hold a conversations via the text messaging while they are driving. Most of them are not even embarrassed or they do not admit their irresponsibleness while driving. Teens should not get distracted while driving. Texting while driving also includes reading or responding to the e-mails.

With the rise in the mobile technology it has become very easy for the teenagers to access internet through mobile phones itself. Teenagers must realize that driving is a privilege and not a right. Parents should take necessary steps and correct their teens regarding the issue of texting while driving. One thing parents should make it clear to the teens that messaging is not important than any body’s life.
If it is an important message and you need to respond to immediately than pull over to a side of the road and then text back instead of responding to it while driving. Previously drinking and driving was a problem but now teens texting and talking over cell phones while driving has become an area of concern.
